Favorite Pillar/Value: Innovation

As SVP of Design & Development at CoralTree Hospitality, Heather Ciszczon leads the creative and operational vision behind our properties, collaborating closely with owners and project teams to bring each concept to life. Based out of the Denver home office, she ensures that every design is not only beautiful and brand-aligned but also budget-conscious and operationally sound creating a true sense of place that delights our guests.

Heather developed a passion for hospitality at an early age, influenced by the architecture and dynamic atmosphere of Scottsdale resorts she visited during her adolescence. That fascination grew into a career rooted in creating spaces that feel as inspiring as they are functional. Before focusing on hospitality, she gained experience across residential, office, and healthcare design but it is the aspirational nature of hospitality that continues to energize her work.

A self-described travel junkie, Heather treats every trip as “R&R” Rest & Research. She is constantly observing, measuring, and evaluating hotels and spaces to fuel her obsession with hospitality design. She even travels with a tape measure and has been known to flip over chairs in restaurants just to find the manufacturer.

One of Heather’s proudest professional accomplishments is the opening of the Fidelity Hotel in Cleveland, delivered on time and on budget, and winner of two hospitality design awards. The project became deeply personal, with Heather and her husband even installing the artwork themselves.

To Heather, CoralTree’s value of Innovation resonates most. Whether on the ground with project teams or flying high (where she claims to be her most productive), she brings a spirit of curiosity and creativity to everything she does.

For Heather, “Travel is good for your soul” means always staying open to the unexpected. Whether it is an inspiring building, a thought-provoking piece of art, or the world’s best burger, she believes travel feeds our creativity and reminds us to see things through fresh eyes.
