“You can’t teach someone hospitality. It has to be in your DNA. You’re just born with it.”
This is the quote that inspired Jeff Knowlton to turn his first job as a houseman at Quality Inn into a lifelong career in hospitality. At 16, his manager Dee Collect saw something in him that he hadn't yet seen in himself. In the 25 years since, he's held nearly every position across hotel operations, working his way up to CIO and CTO roles where he spearheaded large-scale technology transformations and system integrations for growing hotel companies.
As Chief Technology Officer for CoralTree Hospitality, Jeff leads the company's technology strategy and operations from the Denver Home Office. His versatile hospitality background has given him a strong appreciation for how important people, processes, and service are to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Looking ahead, he's focused on harnessing the power of AI to better anticipate guest needs, enhance service, and create more personalized experiences.
Outside of the office, Jeff loves getting outdoors and exploring new places with his wife and three boys. For him, the key to meaningful travel lies in breaking routines and experiencing something new, and this underscores his value for leading a Balanced Life.
