As Vice President of Openings & Transitions, Chris Luersen leads the planning and execution of hotel openings, management company transitions, and operational integrations across the CoralTree Hospitality portfolio. In this role, he partners closely with property leaders, ownership groups, and cross-functional teams to develop strategic transition plans, create accountability, and position properties for long-term success. Chris brings a strong operational perspective to every project, with a focus on building trust, developing leaders, and creating a foundation for sustainable performance.

Under his leadership, the hotel achieved sustained recognition as a leading destination in the market while strengthening relationships with guests, owners, and community partners.
Hospitality has been a lifelong passion for Chris. Inspired by a family legacy in the industry, he was introduced at an early age to the meaningful impact hospitality can have on people and communities. Throughout his career, he has been drawn to the opportunity to work with others, solve complex challenges, lead high-performing teams, and create memorable experiences.
Chris is especially passionate about CoralTree’s value of Relationships, believing that strong connections among team members, guests, owners, partners, and communities are the foundation of exceptional hospitality. He approaches leadership through trust, collaboration, and service, helping teams embrace change and navigate new opportunities with confidence.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys traveling with his wife and four daughters, exploring new destinations, experiencing local cultures, and creating lasting family memories.
