Based in the New York area, Ashley Lin leads CoralTree Hospitality’s strategic growth initiatives, focusing on expanding the company’s portfolio through acquisitions and third-party management opportunities. In her role, she is instrumental in identifying new hotel and resort ventures that align with CoralTree’s long-term vision. Ashley cultivates strong relationships with owners, developers, investors, and other stakeholders to foster partnerships rooted in collaboration and shared success.
Ashley was drawn to hospitality because of its unique role within real estate. Unlike other asset classes, hospitality is not just about developing a physical space; it is about creating an operating business that delivers memorable experiences. Growing up with a deep appreciation for travel, she saw how hospitality can broaden perspectives and showcase local culture, making it a natural and fulfilling career path.
Her passion for the industry extends beyond her professional responsibilities. A natural host and avid traveler, Ashley enjoys exploring new destinations, discovering restaurants, and learning about wine. She often finds herself analyzing the guest experience and operations during her travels, drawing inspiration that fuels her work.
Ashley began her career as an Assistant Director of Finance at a Ritz-Carlton property. One of her most memorable early experiences was serving as a "Lobby Lion," stepping away from her desk to engage directly with guests. These moments of personalized service, from arranging scavenger hunts for children to delivering milk and cookies after a long day, cemented her commitment to guest-centric hospitality.
Over the years, Ashley has built lasting relationships across the industry, which she considers the highlight of her career. These connections have led to successful investments and developments, but more importantly, they have evolved into enduring friendships rooted in trust and shared values.
Ashley embodies CoralTree’s core value of Relationships, believing that human connection is essential to creating spaces that resonate with guests. For her, the mantra “Travel is Good for Your Soul” reflects the ability of travel to inspire, recharge, and provide new perspectives. This belief influences her approach to both personal travel and professional development opportunities.
One of her favorite travel memories is a family reunion in Bali, where relatives from around the world came together for a journey through cities, beaches, and rural villages. The variety of experiences and the time spent with extended family made it a trip she will always treasure, and it continues to shape her appreciation for the impact of meaningful travel.
