Property Information
Vail, Colorado, has a rich history that began as a rugged and untamed land, utilized by the Ute Indians for hunting and later mined for gold and silver in the late 1800s. The town saw growth with the arrival of miners, leading to the establishment of a railroad, settlements, and the development of Highway 6 in 1939.
However, Vail's transformation into a world-class ski resort and an all-season destination came after World War II, when three buddies from the 10th Mountain Division, Pete Seibart, Bob Parker, and Bill “Sarge” Brown, recognized the potential of the mountain. In 1954, Earl Eaton joined the ski resort project, and construction began in 1962 to turn Vail into the modern, international legend it is today.
